Using stuffed animals as home decoration is a common trend nowadays. More and more silent zoos seem to appear all around, like modern-day curiosity cabinets. It seems as if people want to be closer to nature, dreaming about exotic undiscovered places and unknown species. "Curiosities" is an animal-friendly answer to this 'back to nature' wish.

By using several layers of various white shades paper, detailed animals arise. These layers of paper are pinned down with special taxidermy pins. The tension created by these pins makes it possible to pull the paper into otherwise impossible positions, creating a 3d effect. The curiosity series knows several hybrid animal species such as a ballerina seahorse, a beetle which grows roots and a featherless pigeon.
